I know you have seen something like this but
this is of a difference. What you are about to read is heartbreaking; believe
me my hands are shaking as I punch the keys cos I’m victimized due to console
racism.
If you have played Tomb Raider: A Survival is
Born; you might have a clue on how painful it is to realize the 2015 sequel
is exclusive to Xbox one platform.
“It wasn't Crystal
Dynamics' intention” the developer has said.
In a Rise
of the Tomb Raider FAQ posted to the game's official Tumblr, Crystal
Dynamics was asked why Microsoft, Square Enix, or Crystal Dynamics itself
didn't say upfront that this was a timed exclusive, and why it used indirect
language.
Some fans were angry and upset that they
wouldn't be able to play the sequel to 2013's Tomb Raider on PlayStation 4,
PlayStation 3, and PC, but Head of Xbox Phil Spencer eventually announced that
the exclusivity won't last forever.
Microsoft and Crystal Dynamics said that the
deal will help elevate the Tomb Raider franchise. The deal between Microsoft
and Square Enix, according to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, is a win/win situation,
and not an attack on PlayStation fans. Signing Rise of the Tomb Raider as an Xbox-exclusive for next year will
also help Microsoft better compete with Sony's 2015 game Uncharted 4: A Thief's
End, Spencer said at the time.
“When the elephants are fighting, the
grasses suffer” Guess this is simply what Playstation,
Nintendo, and other platforms experience for not been nominated in this fight.
Initially
Square Enix stated that the previous installment was a bad business for them
but the idea of making it exclusive to one platform might just make things a
whole lot worse instead of better.
Who cares??? We just want the continuation on same platform Square Enix. |
I’m not a
business person but maybe Microsoft paid Square Enix a huge sum to offset the
loss in the previous installment that’s why they making it exclusive to Xbox
one” (Jake Baldino).
If you have
a Playstation 3 or Playstation 4 I really want to know how you feel about this
also if you have an Xbox one, I’d like to hear your views on the on-going
console racism.
