6 THEMES THAT MAKES BIG HERO 6 BIG

Does Baymax have a pot belly? lmaooo..thats really hilarious.

If you have watched this animation, thumbs up but if you haven’t you really need to glue your eyes to every line.
Lately, I was on goggle+, saw people giving shout out to the band “Fall Out Boy” over the success of the movie +Big Hero 6. After seeing the trailer which didn’t tell so much about the animation (don’t know if it’s the limited trailer I saw) I got wondering why the name “BIG HERO 6” and not “BIG HERO 2 or 1”. I got the animation two weeks back (sorry i am old school, the movie has been out since last year). To my greatest surprise what I saw made my eyes so watery that it was close to overflowing my face, thanks to Nigeria unstable power supply. (the power went off for three days…I guess the electronics got overwhelmed)

Today I present to you, 6 Themes that would make you want to watch BIG HERO 6 (I made sure it’s in caps, it deserve to be spelt BIG).

(Drum rolls)

First of all let’s know the summary
Summary
From Walt Disney Animation Studios, the team behind "Frozen" and "Wreck-It Ralph," comes "Big Hero 6," an action-packed comedy-adventure about the special bond that develops between Baymax, a plus-sized inflatable robot, and prodigy Hiro Hamada. When a devastating event befalls the city of San Fransokyo (a portmanteau of San Francisco and Tokyo) and catapults Hiro into the midst of danger, he turns to Baymax and his close friends; adrenaline junkie Gogo Tomago, Neatnik Wasabi, Chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and Fanboy Fred. Determined to uncover the mystery, Hiro transforms his friends into a band of high-tech heroes called "Big Hero 6." (-Source IMDB)

Themes:
Friendship: At the beginning of the animation, Hiro is known not to have a friend of his own except his robot and brother Tadashi. Later on in the movie, he enjoys the benefit of good friendship after the death of Tadashi. Tadashi’s friends supports Hiro at the exhibition, consoled him during mourning season and even fight his own battles which generates a bond amongst them.

Creativity: Hiro’s miniature robot was an upgrade of the original robot he used at the beginning of the animation for Bot-fight. During his presentation at the Institute of Techonology, he stated that the only limitation that can hinder the use of his technology is the mind, “as far as you think, as far as it can work”. (I believe every creative person can attest to this).
After the group decides banding together to stop Krei, with Hiro’s creative talent, he helps to design special suit based on their specific abilities.
Team spirit: Hiro, Baymax, Gogo Tomago, Wasabi NoGinger, Honey Lemon, and Fred make up a good team. Hiro couldn’t fight the villain alone because he was fighting against his own invention which is practically impossible to accomplish. In unison, their skills facilitates the achievement of a common goal “Take off the villain’s mask”.

Suspense: Who is behind the mask? While recovering after an offensive chase from the mask man, Fred an unbelievable character whom we all assume to be living under the bridge happens to live in a mansion (with his super rich parents). As the group comes to a consensus, that the villain may have been behind Tadashi's death, and Fred believes he knows who it is: Alistair Krei. Fred explains that it was Krei who wanted Hiro's microbot technology, and most likely, has gained it at the expense of Tadashi's life. Only for us to realize that the mask man is someone we least expect, someone so close you can never tell to behold an evil idea. Every dirty little secret exposes itself slowly.

Anger: When the 6 Heroes find the location of the mask man, they attack without proper plan yet succeed in knocking him down but Hiro demands Baymax to destroy the villain. Baymax claims that his programming doesn't allow this, leading to Hiro pulling out the chip Tadashi put in him. The removal of the chip causes Baymax to follow Hiro's orders, and he charges at the villain. However, Hiro's friends attempt to stop Baymax, with the robot fighting back at them, before Honey manages to restore Tadashi's chip to his programming.
Callaghan is mad at Krei’s because he lost his daughter in Krei’s experiment; Callaghan claims he's going to ruin Krei's life like he ruined his. He puts Krei’s technology (a portal) back to life and starts to tear apart the building, sucking its pieces into the other dimension.

Forgiveness: Hiro’s friends meet him up at his garage and comfort him despite the foolish decision he conceived over killing Callaghan and leaving them stuck on an island.
Baymax was almost tearing Callaghan into thin air with a super galactic punch on the face, but he doesn’t. Hiro tells Callaghan “our programming prevents us from injuring human being”
The emotion of each character is just too accurate, they virtually look more real than you can imagine. Just like “Frozen”, the sad face, the happy face, the nerd feeling, even nerd gestures…I can’t forget the boring gesture on Hiro’s face when he was feeling like a boss while playing Bot-Fight. The slow motion is dope, and super touching.

Ever seen a drunken robot? Baymax shows us how that goes...i can't forget the scene where Hiro uploaded Karate sequence into Baymax, operating a Vendor machine was a practical test to ensure Baymax is fit to fight karate. (Lol I was expecting a flying dragon duel)
How many will I remember and engrave in this article…?

Production: About ninety animators worked on the film at one point or another; some worked on the project for as long as two years. In terms of the film's animation style and settings, the film combines Eastern world culture (predominantly Japanese) with Western world culture (predominantly California). In May 2013, Disney released concept art and rendered footage of San Fransokyo from the film.
To create San Fransokyo as a detailed digital simulation of an entire city, Disney purchased the actual assessor data for the entire city and county of San Francisco. The final city contains over 83,000 buildings and 100,000 vehicles.
A software program called Denizen was used to create over 700 distinctive characters that populate the city, another one named Bonzai was responsible for the creation of the city's 250,000 trees, while a new rendering system called Hyperion offered new illumination possibilities, like light shining through a translucent object (i.e., Baymax's vinyl covering). Development on Hyperion started in 2011 and was based upon research into multi-bounce complex global illumination originally conducted at Disney Research in Zürich.
The music was reverberating, every soundtrack match the scenes. Now i know why they appraise the band Fall Out Boy, their track “Immortal” made the animation a blast.

Will there be a sequel?
Deep in my research right on Wikipedia and I saw this info:
On February 18, 2015, the film's directors, Don Hall and Chris Williams said a sequel could be possible.
However, they stated:
"[Laughs] We’ll see. We just finished this one, and the truth is, we’re exhausted from the ordeal of making it. It was really fun, but it was long hours, and it was pretty intense. It’s a pretty emotional time for us —Chris Williams
John Lasseter is very supportive of the directors, and he won’t force them to put out a sequel unless they have a story that [sic] really excited about. It has to feel like a story that really has to be told, or deserves to be told. It can’t just be cashing in on the success of a previous film." —Don Hall
As of March 1, 2015, BIG HERO 6 has earned $220,876,780 in North America, and $351,300,000 in other territories, for a worldwide total of $572,176,780.
