Rules of Engagement: Signs you are in a wrong RelationSHIP

In my perspective, a Godly relationship is a ship built by two experienced captains who compliments each other’s weakness in meekness for a defined destination navigated with the word of God. Since God is love, therefore let everything done in love and with love be centred on him.

Oftentimes, we comfortably clinch on the personification “Love is blind”. Not anymore, thanks to the social media window which allows us to easy peep into the global village where people spread sensitive information informing us that we aren’t the only one going through heart distressing cases.

Now we can boldly say we aren’t going to be continuously led in the wrong direction after massive emotional torture from the wrong partner. For further emphasis, I would like to share some signs that depict you are in a wrong relationship.

1) Trying too hard to fit in:

Most times you come across people who find your current state unpalatable, they easily complain about the way you eat, talk, walk, dress, sit, yawn, sleep and the number of minutes you spend in the bathroom.

If someone notices too many things wrong with you, then that person isn’t for you. Leave while you can, someone is out there who will appreciate every single thing about you.

2) Quarrelsome:

Any relationship that makes you quarrelsome isn’t healthy. As a matter of fact it shows you have entered a hypertension zone where everyone seeks for evidence in order to attain happiness.

The constant friction will cause wear and tear in your psychological entity.

Last time I checked we aren’t all lawyers nor did we go to law school or even try to be as good as some people in arguement. I can’t fake being a lawyer cos I want to keep a relationship, it's best to dock the ship and jump out as soon as possible.

3) Mismanagement:

Not being able to give accurate account on expenses made during a period of time while dating someone is a clear sign you are in the wrong zone.

Some people are financial parasite, the moment they come around you, your bills continue to pile up but because you choose to be blindfolded by love, your perspectives elude spotting what’s milking you dry.

Get hold of it and cut it off. You aren’t anyone’s ATM either male or female. Everyone should be responsible enough to provide for themselves.

4) Mean lifestyle:

Disrespecting other people is contagious. Most times it’s indirectly learnt from association and influence.

Talking rudely and not having any sense of remorse can be tagged to being in a wrong relationship where such thing is common and often encouraged.

Vulgar words, profane statements, negative vocabularies all fall into this category.  If you sense this, my brother and sister use the nearest life vest to jump off the ship.

5) Lacking the word of God

A good relationship is meant to build you up positively in all ways, not in some ways. The core component of man is what is within his heart. If the heart lacks the light (The world of God), darkness beclouds the heart's atmosphere.

Sadness, confusion, regrets, wrong choices aren’t far from you and at the end, you feel lonelier than ever even with a million hugs and kisses.

Christ will be the compass of your relationship if you hand over the rudder to him.

Wrap up

Even if it hurts, don’t betray your emotions. After reading this, take out time and reflect on your relationship, x-ray and dissect it into bits and fractions for a genuine result.

Try ask yourself;

I) What have I learnt so far?

II) How much have I sacrificed?

III) And how much have I harvested?
