Light of the world

When light steps into darkness, darkness can’t comprehend. It takes a flight. When you become a new man by accepting Christ into your life, a lot of things positively change about you. Most times the enemy tries to make us feel we are on the wrong path. But here is another dimension we shouldn’t ignore.

We are the light of the world, little of us know the powerful force we carry, leading to a reduction of self-values by mingling in the dark for comfortable gestures with the world system.

Matthew 5:14-16 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father”.

Because we are the light of the world, people easily envy us, wish to be like us that’s why they do all manner of things to make us dull (sad). It is up to us to accept or ignore the tempting offer.

Life facts

I have heard of people who made certain investment because their friends were into it, only for the investment package to crumble shortly after meanwhile, their mind warned them not to venture into such assuring them that God will meet their needs.

I have heard of virgins who had sex for the first time because their friends did same, only to get pregnant and delivered twins or triplet out of wedlock.

They are doing it and going free isn’t a license for you to do so.

How to know your light is shining bright

1) All eyes on you:

I used to get uncomfortable when I step into a place and my surname “Newton” accompanied with my personality breaks the ground. Not until I figured out how unique and distinctive I am, I never got used to the weird fact of having their eyes on me.

They just keep poking their nose on my origin, intonation and other none of their business.

There is something you have they envy and wish they can grab it.

2) You witness challenging moment often:

This is as a result of everyone trying to pull you down cos your light is shinning so bright.

They try to hide you so you will be hidden yet the struggle to place you underneath fetch them blindness and fetch you greatness.

3) You witness limitless miracles:

People favour you unexpectedly, certain things you aren’t qualified for just comes your way.

Most times you find yourself asking if you are the only one in this world due to the nature of outstanding breakthroughs that comes your way.

4) You are usually alone physically:

If you check your inventory of friends, you figure out you are comfortable with very few like minds not crowd clothing wolves who disguise as sheep.

5) Things that work for others don’t work for you:

I have seen ladies who decided to abort a pregnancy because their friends have done 5 abortions, only for them to die on their first attempt.

I have heard of guys who stole for the first time and got killed or sentenced to lifetime in prison.

6) Things that appeal to others don’t appeal to you:

You feel completely safe doing your thing differently from others. Your exceptional capability is far from people’s expectation.

Wrap up

Christ is what makes the difference. Attitude, personality may apply to the aforementioned experiences but when Christ steps in, there is a change and permanent solution.

Though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death (life) he is with you. He is a shining light, we are his offspring, therefore, we are a shining light also. He shows us the very path to take and we follow with ease, bringing down strongholds and causing the world to marvel over such supernova victory.
