As
creatures made out of like and love of God it’s expected that our least crave
or desire is to be loved, but it remains our daily yearn from birth to death.
This unexplained intimacy demand has led us to fancy everyone that exhibits a
shadow of it. There's always a concrete adhesion of a child to the mum and
prompt occurrence of friction and rejection from anyone that seems to come in
between cos the child believes "mummy
loves me", and sincerely mummy does. We think growing up and getting
older hopefully will fix this, most definitely it doesn't.
We
grow up defending and protecting those that fall into this category “people we love and love us too”. But I
begin to wonder if this is the same reason we wander into the realm of
emptiness when we get into relationships or rather meet someone in this
category.
Why
do people come out of relationships empty, stripped off dignity and integrity
they've been able to preserve? If the Bible says one shall chase a thousand and
two ten thousand it therefore means dating an individual should always be a
plus and produce a greater you. So why should I meet a guy, lose my virginity,
sense of responsibility, creativity and most importantly purity? Isn't our
unity expected to aid us conquer our world and braid our dreams to fulfillment?
Then what's wrong?
The
answer is simple - we get to teenage or adulthood and forget who and whom we
are!!!! Not remembering your identity leads to the desire of property or
personality that you house. God has willed everything He owns to us and we
stand as inhabitants of Christ, what else can we ask for?
There's
the consciousness of filling the vacuum since I'm now living in the age of
dealing with peers, or killing the fears and willing to mingle. But trust me,
the understanding of God's word and the settlement of Christ's power in us swallows
it up. This is not a piece to freeze the excitement of relationships but grease
the platform it rests on. Its utmost importance is for us to meet individuals
and date human beings that will make us understand and love God more, empower
and develop our sense of responsibility, protect our virginity and dress up our
purity, attach value to dignity and integrity, and fill us with the true
knowledge and expression of love.
There's
no more room for emptiness, grooving into foolishness, grooming our mindsets
into looseness cos this will surely lead to doom. We are sited at the right
hand of the Son in Heaven so don't ever settle for less cos your Kingdom
doesn't encourage it.
