Shrouded Tears

The internet is engulfed with the hideous crime committed by Former Aso Savings Boss daughter Maryam Sanda who stabbed her husband Mr Bilyamin Muhammed Bello, son of former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Haliru Bello repeatedly and mutilate his genitals (an unpleasant way to die).

How about if we take another look at this sad, awful, scary story that’s peeling the minds of many young people hoping to tie the knots soon?

To a great extent, we really can’t tell the emotional torture the accused might have faced prior to this dreadful incident.

When a lady comes out to the open performing a grievous act towards her mate, the society frown over her behaviour but when a man does same, they simply just pay less attention cos it is expected and accepted that men should be more violent.

I know of a couple who got married recently and the wife tells my sister about the verbal torture she receives from her husband. She opened up how her husband was really sweet, caring and romantic during their courtship. Not forgetting how his family members showed her love via constant calls and favourable promises.

After their marriage, the guy turned from an angel to a monster, raining showers of insult on her and her family. He cleared her account and used the money to settle his debt. Unfortunately, her high earned job wasn’t available anymore after the marriage so she was unemployed, bringing more trouble from her insatiable in-laws who were after her wealthy status than her humble personality.

Life tore apart his façade, unveiling true intentions. The man she fell in love with wasn’t the monster she shared her bed with.

When she gave birth to her son, her husband’s immature personality made her lonelier than ever. The man ceased the money gotten from the boy’s dedication, refused to entertain his guest and kept feeling insecure whenever his mother-in-law takes responsibilities over delicate issues that needed immediate attention.

This kept going on and on until she grew wise and started locking her phone with passwords, withdrew vital information from her because he wasn’t after her progress rather her downfall.

Seeing this lady outside, you won’t know the horrors she faces within the four walls of her suppose fortress. This brings me to the aspect of judging easily when such an explosive headline breaks the news.

Wrap up
I’m not in support of the atrocious action performed by Maryam Sanda this article’s opening. I would have recommended that she came out to the open to say what has been transpiring or simply leave the marriage peacefully than ending her entire life in regrettable actions.

However, it’s highly advisable that young couple shouldn’t just be blinded by love but should take out time to look out for flammable flaws in their propose spouse in order to avoid “Had I known situations”.

Another sharpshooting point is that because love is blind, your friends, parents are there to aid your vision towards getting a reasonable spouse. Their worthy contributions, opinions and your tactful assessment will come in handy.
