Social Media Post: A Digital Investment

The world has transcended from traditional media to new media where data upload and harvest is the order of the day. Almost everyone is registered to a social network today making it the next digital currency we have little or no idea on how to optimise.

Our Social media is a bank in disguise where we deposit pictures, written text, or share an interesting post. These deposits are stored in a database for a long period of time giving us a window to know what we posted on a particular day in the nearest future (Facebook on this day app).

Startlingly, what you upload on your social media mirrors your personality to friends, family, companies, potential clients and passionate employees.
Ever asked yourself this “Is my post of great value that it can fetch me a great harvest?”

Linkedin is currently a market yourself platform, a gateway to network with interested organisations or companies and most especially get employed. Presently, Facebook has adopted such approach to become the next employer centred platform through the use of tabs like “Intro”, “Life event” and the “Stat box” we know.

A headline on January 30th, 2017 read White house discussing asking foreign visitors for social media information a part of the body read;

Miller also noted on Saturday that Trump administration officials are discussing the possibility of asking foreign visitors to disclose all websites and social media sites they visit and to share the contacts on their cell phones. If the foreign visitor declines to share such information, he or she could be denied entry.

I believe someday it will be actualized for the sake of depriving some people into pleasurable countries like the USA.

At least 10 incoming freshmen won’t be graduating as part of the Harvard Class of 2021 after the school withdrew acceptance offers to students who had shared offensive memes on Facebook.

I came across this initiative when Facebook pop up an old post of mine. Apparently, because of the new usage of social media at that time, abuse was inevitable.  I believe most of us abused our social media accounts via sharing a gullible post, making meaningless speeches or even stressing vulgar words.

But now we have as much guidance and maturity, it’s advisable we review old post and new ones which will definitely get old so that in the nearest future, we would be proud of the quality content we’ve uploaded.

Some boss crawl up on their employee’s Facebook and other social media handles to understand their personality because “What’s on your mind” pane psychologically pulls your innermost assertions to visibility.

Wrap up
I recommend we optimise our social media account, it as a platform to market our achievement, educational qualifications, life events and other relevant information that will woo potential clients, investors, employers to call on our product and services. It’s not all about selfies to oppress others.

Lately, I've been receiving various calls due to how well I've been utilising my social media handles.

Remember; when you want to get into a public office, the opposing parties usually search the internet to dig up real facts about you that contradict the moral standard of the society. I bet you won’t want to fall prey by having pile loads of implicating posts that might cloud your reputation with a pungent fragrance.

Conclusively, since our social media is a bank, deposit quality content to harvest a tangible harvest.
