THE SENSE IN DEATH

Who is death, what is death?
Literature, comics, movies paint it as a skeleton on a hoody with a shadowy face wielding a scythe that doesn’t slice its victims before taking their soul.

Although death in my eyes is like a journey someone goes either expectedly or unexpectedly. Something we all must face sooner or later. I believe it’s up to us to decide when or how we die. I don’t know how many of you have lost something so dear to you, especially material things? OmG it’s like the world should come to an end talk more of a human being that eat, talks, makes you smile, gives you reason to enjoy your stay here on earth and evoke other positive feelings.

The punch line here is the body is a container that houses the spirit man, if it has a severe puncture, the content (spirit) leaves same way air passes out from a ball that got puncture. While in other case in the case of sickness, it might be as a result of biological malfunction caused by infection, inheritance and so on.

“Sun set at noon”.  I have seen this phrase several times on burial postal during my stay in the East. Imagine the sun setting on a hot afternoon? I would freak out to pieces.

Here is the hard truth. People sober their loss so much as though it will bring them back. Cry a river or an ocean; nature won’t be moved to change its cause. It’s a fate we must live with or get consumed.

Imagine life as a race, a professional race where everyone is dressed and placed on their lane. Your main objective is to cross the finish line in order to get your set price (something that can change your family’s life forever). If your father/mother is on the other lane, while running he/she falls flat on the floor, will you go help him/her out or will you continue your race to win the price for the pride of your family? This is how life is; some people might not be as strong or courageous as we might be. They might have gotten themselves involved in one act or the other however haunting them in the cause of their race. Does it mean we should quit due to their short comings? Don’t get me wrong.
Few years ago. Daddy Adeboye made me understood in one of his devotionals that our loved ones who died are currently watching us...he made it clear that it is our responsibility to make them happy via our actions and accomplishment.

When people die we have enough space to bring out the best in us, we see things a whole lot different, we become serious, focus, determined, compassionate, however take up dreams that we might not want to ever dream. Death stimulates us to venture into a matured state of living...there are two sides of the coin, i choose to focus on the positive side.

I feel every time we come across a death story or news, we should reflect and ask ourselves where is our current lifestyle leading us to?

It’s up to you to decide where, when and how you want your end to be. As for me I want to live long, that’s why I don’t partake in certain earthy destruction called fun. Life is an individual race; you must run your own race and win. Time for sober is not so much, dry your tears, dream your dreams, set your goals and watch it evoke into reality.

Death is a wake up call for everyone. Wake up and keep living until you make sure you save others from dying.
I pray as this year go on, we don’t bury our own, I speak life to everyone who reads this post, to those who didn’t, even to those who doesn’t know this post exist.

May the souls of those we have lost rest in perfect peace. Amen
