The joy of kid’s laughter is more thrilling as it colors the day with excitement…an excitement to learn something new, get involved in that artistic world they have always known but don’t know how to create it.
Ash7 Animation Studio crew visited Kidz Consult on Monday 20th July to teach young minds how to make their animation. Maryanne Maduekwe the director and other members of staff welcomed Ash7 crew with open hands.
The creative company has decided to evoke a workshop tagged “Lets Create” which involves teaching young minds how to create their animation.
During the workshop at Kidz Consult, the crew members were introduced while the kids introduced themselves by name. An introduction of the course was done, informing them on the idea behind animations. The kids made a flip book by themselves with the use of folded A4 paper transformed into a jolter in order to illustrate how motion is been created in animation in relation to the likes of Tom and Jerry oldies. Later on they were taught on the modern way of making animation which requires the use of a computer and software (Flash).
Furthermore, the kids were given the opportunity to perform these actions by manipulating the software in a systematic order.
It was beautiful watching them catch up and ask mind blowing questions which sweeten the aim and objective of this workshop and also enable other summer camps partner with Ash7 in the animation project. Although it doesn’t end there, Ash7 Animation Studio intends taking these kids for an excursion to the SilverBird Cinema on the 22nd of August for the premiering of Nigeria's First Ever Stop Motion 3D Animation “Dave and Golly”
