How Entrepreneurs can Setup a Target Practice

Target has always existed since man learnt how to aim. I used to way. If I were to be a soldier, I would make a great one. I may be probably be nicknamed “Darksider” cos my skills will be that of angel of death itself. Imagine giving 50men headshot using one bullet (Deadpool himself would have to come for lessons lol)

Soldiers, Basketball players, Footballers, Archers, even marketers and entrepreneurs are taught how to aim. Lately, aiming crosshairs have gotten narrower for whoever is behind the weapon to target specifically.

In this article, I’m going to be talking from the angle of a digital marketer entrepreneur.

Entrepreneurship Simulation

Firstly, a simulator is a machine with a similar set of controls designed to provide the realistic imitation of the operation of a vehicle, aircraft or other complex system used for training purpose.

Secondly, Realcareer entrepreneurship built a business simulator. They stated that “Entrepreneurship simulation is a business management role playing scenario that has similar set of in-depth business marketing and finance concept which entails the following;
I) Starting a company
II) Researching on a product
III) Introducing production sales issues
IV) Completing tasks
V) Responding to market competitors…

Applying Entrepreneurship Simulation to Digital Marketing

You might be thinking creating a simulator is expensive…lol in this case, it is not. It’s just you setting up your own platform for target practice using either real or fake product.

As a digital marketer, social media manager, I built my own simulator for target practice (Newton Paul’s Blog, Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+)

These simulators have taught me;
I) The ecosystem of the internet
II) The social media culture
III) Email marketing
IV) Graphic design
V) Web content management
VI) Analytics
VII) Adword and a lot more.

A/B Testing

Lately, the awareness over A/B testing is spreading rapidly among many start-ups. People are beginning to act smarter and wiser so that every penny counts.

A/B testing is comparing two versions of anything (webpage, business or marketing idea) to see which one performs better.

I have tried various means of posting, I know which one works better than the other. I currently understand which social media handle suite better for a particular business and which doesn’t appeal to the nature of business objectives.

Problem faced by Digital Marketer Entrepreneurs

Because most entrepreneurs haven’t broken even, little to no client knows them. However, proposed client usually ask digital marketers for a track record of products and services they’ve marketed in the past or couple of years working experience. “Get me a gun lemme shot someone”
If everyone needs someone who has started, where are we then going to start from if no one wants starters on the job?

Solution

For you to graduate from a school, it’s expected that you write exams and pass excellently. This is the point you refer them to your test results you’ve done, scored and marked in your A/B test while using your simulators.

You stand a better chance in preferring quality solution because you have used simulators to build yourself, skills, strength, and creativity to gain full knowledge on what to expect subsequently from the future client as problems.

How to Setup your simulator

I) You need to own your blog, website, app, social media page
II) Volunteer: this way you will put your skill to good use using real life situations and you grow from there.
III) Get materials that feed your thoughts: It could be videos, articles, webinar whatever it may be, just get something that directs you on how to role.

Wrap up
Note that entrepreneurship simulator and A/B test works for just any business idea you can ever think of, the points in this article aren’t narrowed to digital marketing alone.

Also, know that it’s the little effort you make constantly that adds-up towards making you a cutting-edge individual.
