There is always an endless strife that
drives us towards wanting to become masters of our craft. Our hearts beat with
the desire to make change and introduce newness.
In our childhood, it was expected that we
transcend from crawling to walking to talking and to knowing, likewise our
adulthood is expected to move from knowing to creating to building and to
establishing.
Anticipating our future as kids was fun. We
would often play dress up and transform (with the help of our imagination) into
who we hoped to become and demanded everyone we come across address us same
way. But as adults it's different.
Reality keeps on throwing parties before
us, we care less what people address us as, fun is seldom prioritized because
the pressure exerted on us by those close to us increases exponentially as we
grow. Our increasing responsibility and the inability to always meet them
begins to make us think less of ourselves. Inferiority complex sets in and we
slowly begin to lose the identity we passionately clang to as kids.
Depression often sets in and knocks us off
our pedestal of dominion. We keep on burning our candles at both ends because
we needlessly seek the approval of our superiors. Then when we wish we had
intelligence, strength and resilience like Batman, or Spiderman, or Tom and
Jerry respectively, ignoring the fact that they are the fictitious products of
the minds of other men.
We causelessly switch to running fast in the dark like we understand the path or even know God's plans. We convince ourselves that our eyes are on the prize when God keeps on reminding us "that's not your life". We even put in extra hours at work just to avoid being broke. And all this happens because we never realize that Christ is our source of innovation.
Christ our source of innovation introduces
change the moment He walks in, He saturates us with newness as we accept Him,
He fills us with ideas as we ask Him because our ideas will only be heard by
our peers but with Christ it has no end.
Christ our source of innovation soaks us with knowledge more than we can ever get from college; He makes us so attractive even when we feel there's nothing that makes us distinctive. Christ our source of innovation is always the extra that makes things better!!!!!!!!
