Lugbe International Academy held its prestigious Career Week for its distinctive students to get acquitted with the various careers in our society.

I tapped into this opportunity as a guest speaker to shape their perception about life with two potent topics “Saving Culture and How to Make Your Dreams Real

Indeed it shouldn’t be new to you that the Civil Social Responsibility of this blog is to inspire and motivate young minds in the society.

Newton Paul’s Personal Development Workshop is focused on equipping the leaders of tomorrow with the right knowledge ranging from moral, motivational/inspirational, educational, lifestyle practices, articulate and mental elevation topics that will grant the specified audience an eagle’s vision on themes that will boost their mentality, uniqueness, personality and value.

On Monday 13th June 2016, the brilliant students were exposed to Saving Culture which was designed to;

  1. Encourage saving culture among them.
  2. Enlighten them on why they need self investment.
  3. Modify their perception on how to invest in themselves.

Statistics shows that there are few legit millionaires/billionaire within the age range of 1-30 in Nigeria. Statistics also shows that an average Nigerian has little or no savings rather possess a poor saving culture unlike the Western World that is lustrous with mega young millionaires/billionaires.

Basically the major reason for developed countries accumulation of wealth is based on their governmental policy and saving culture.

“Invest in yourself in order harvest something tangible.”

Since culture is the way of life, the leaders of tomorrow need to understand that digesting the right materials, staying indoors, going out to notable developmental places, mingling with the right friends, and saving their emotions as well as building an accurate scale of preference are required to have an upright structure that can house their dreams and career.

On Tuesday 14th June 2016, the gleaming students were exposed to How to Make Your Dreams Real which was designed to;

  1. Expose them on how to identify their dreams.
  2. Teach them how to harness their talent and polish it.
  3. Direct them on how they can spot their target.
  4. Compass them on the right channel to reach their target.

Retirement rate is very poor in the country as a result of people’s failure over the years in identifying their rightful place and gifting in life.

“Find out what you wish to be or do, then train yourself for it.”

Using practical/notable examples from the likes of Forrest Mars who has made over 23.4Billion dollars from candy, Michael & Marian Ilitch who has made 5.4Billion dollars from Pizza, Alinko Dangote who worth 16.5Billion dollars and myself who worth so much more lol…their understanding was sharp pointed to realize that they can be anything they want to be regardless of the complexity of their vision if only they find their product, polish it, identify their target, know the right channel, alongside S.M.A.R.T.

“There is gold mine hidden in every life. Nature never made a failure. Every man has success hidden away in his soul. No one else can find it but himself”.
(E.W. Kenyon’s SIGNPOSTS ON THE ROAD TO SUCCESS)

Using other tools like The Goal Arrow, The Chain of Reality, Theory of Perception, The Tailors Tale, drove lasting visual points that even stirred up questions among them at the end of the season.

Here is a quick rundown of the Questions/Answer section;

Can an individual quit extravagancy?
Yes, with the help of parents, guardian and family members, a proper saving culture habit can be built. It’s all about, building a scale of preference (the full detail is in the manual), having a Peggy bank or a savings bank account and seeking directions on how to spend effectively.

Can someone switch from science to art and likewise?
Of course yes, I switched from science to art in my SS2 first term. The bottom line is finding your rightful place on time so building yourself can be effective.

How can an individual achieve a Goal that’s limited by its environment?
It’s all bent on using The Goal Arrow, with that you can shape, mold and bend any goal to suit your environment. (wanna know what The Goal Arrow is, be in the next workshop)

What if an individual possesses a different vision/career path from his parents?
First of all you have to honor your parents with the right attitude. Gaining their trust and love is the most important thing. Secondly, you need to understand the career path you are venturing into (Digesting quality materials related to career path is the key). You must proof that you know what the career path entails in order for them to know that you are not misdirected or will become an invalid because every parent want their child to do well in life. Mia Hall a character from the movie (If I stay) was used as an example.

Is it bad to me more than one thing in life?
As you grow, you might want to venture into numerous career paths. It’s not bad to be more than one thing, but you need one thing to start from. You need to focus on one thing and build yourself on that. Later on diversification can come in. Although, as a young individual, it’s extremely helpful to learn as many things right now cos that’s the foundation of success.

The school was given a free copy of the manual for further digestion by prospective students. It was indeed a warm reception from both the members of staff and the brilliant students.

This is just the beginning, many more schools/churches to visit. Feel free to buzz me for further inquiry.
