CHAT SLANGS by Newton Paul

   Talking about chatting slangs, we shouldn’t forget that the internet, computers, mobile phones, smart tv are virtually connected to a form glue in keeping the world together. English language is slowly transforming into something I’m yet to understand. It is as though everyone is having their own version of dictionary and new version of acronyms which are not really understood by other people.

   What is the essence of communication if not for making someone get your Point Of View (POV) on an issue or situation or transferring ideas or beliefs and so on? Despite the fact some people are so used to all the internet terminologies, some others are not which give rise to communication imbalance even among educated people.

Lol (laugh out loud) I can imagine how confused they both are, but the major issue here is how some people especially girls (please no offence) have gotten to abuse this freedom we’ve gotten which makes chatting a little bit annoying or irritating.

   Okay, is it just me that’s a little bit confused on what these chicks are trying to say? Since when did communication or typing a word become a problem? Some even go an extra mile of adding accent into their text “gat” for “got”, “wah” for “what”, “tryna” for “trying” c’mon where do you think you are?

   I know some of you are like “in this 21^st century everyone needs to know chatting acronyms and all that”. Everyone has to start from somewhere; it doesn’t stop you from chatting in a reasonable way because it’s not every time someone may be patient enough to understand what you’re saying and believe me, some people get pissed over chat that requires so much decoding.

Let’s look at a list of words and see their meaning:

   In conclusion, I’d like you to post words you don’t seem to understand since you started chatting, the ones you don’t want to ever see (dislike) and the ones you love most hehe (laugh).
